BitMart Winds Down Trading Platform Amid Gradual Shutdown
Crypto exchange BitMart has announced plans to shut down its trading platform in stages. The exchange will first halt new registrations and deposits, starting at 1:30 UTC on July 26. This move is part of a broader plan to wind down the exchange's operations. As part of this process, futures accounts will shift to reduce-only mode, and automated trading services will be phased out.
On August 26, BitMart will stop all trading services, including spot and futures. Any remaining futures positions may be batch-settled based on the applicable mark price or index price. Investment products such as Earn, staking, lending, and Launchpad will also be discontinued in stages. Users are urged to complete Know-Your-Customer verification and withdraw their assets.
The exchange plans to officially end its trading platform operations at 15:59 UTC on January 31, 2027. During this time, users will still be able to log in to review their trading histories and request withdrawals. Withdrawals may require additional reviews for compliance with anti-money laundering rules and sanctions screening.
