BitMart Withdrawal Issues Ease as Exchange Winds Down Operations
BitMart's withdrawal issues have seemingly subsided after the exchange announced its plans to wind down operations. According to blockchain analytics account Lookonchain, only 58 wallets withdrew around $805,000 in a 24-hour period, with no withdrawals processed during an eight-hour tracked period.
X users continued to report difficulties with withdrawing funds, citing instances where transactions were pending for extended periods or displaying on-chain withdrawal freezes. One user received an email stating that a USDT withdrawal had been completed despite not being processed, while another experienced a $30 test withdrawal remaining pending for over 30 minutes.
The exchange's ability to return customer funds smoothly will be a crucial test of its promised 'orderly' wind-down and may determine whether declining confidence becomes a broader exodus. BitMart previously stated that withdrawals remain available but warned requests may face additional compliance and security checks, including reviews of customer identities, login devices, withdrawal addresses, trading histories, and sources of funds.
