BitMEX Co-Founder Delo Pledges £36 Million to U.K.'s Reform Party

British crypto billionaire Ben Delo is donating £36 million to Reform UK, a political party in the U.K. This would be the largest single donation ever received by a British party.

Delo, co-founder of BitMEX, plans to give £1 million per month to Reform UK through 2029. He has already donated £4 million and is moving his residence from Hong Kong to the U.K. to continue supporting the party.

The donation aims to help Reform UK compete with other parties on an equal footing. However, the British government is pursuing measures to restrict large donations from overseas residents, prompting Delo's decision to pay the full amount upfront.
