BitMine Amasses 5.8M ETH, Entrenching Itself as a Major Player

BitMine's latest Ethereum accumulation has pushed its stash to an impressive 5.8 million ETH, accounting for roughly 4.8% of all coins in circulation.

The publicly traded company disclosed that it added 10,399 ETH over the past seven days, bringing its total balance to 5,797,813 ETH.

BitMine has allocated a significant portion of its holdings into staking, with approximately 85% or 4,917,189 ETH locked up. This substantial staked position generates an estimated $247 million in annualized revenue at current yields.

The company's strategy is mirroring that of mining firms in the Bitcoin ecosystem, where hoarded coins serve as collateral and income sources.
