Bitmine Bolsters Ethereum Holdings Amid Institutional Interest
Bitmine continues to strengthen its position as one of the largest corporate holders of Ethereum (ETH), expanding its treasury by purchasing another 9,946 ETH over the past week. This brings its total holdings to 5,787,414 ETH, valued at approximately $11.3 billion.
The company has been buying ETH every week since launching its treasury strategy in June 2025, and chairman Tom Lee emphasized this commitment by stating that Bitmine 'has acquired ETH every week since launching its treasury strategy'.
Bitmine's growing Ethereum reserve reflects a broader trend among publicly traded companies, which are increasingly treating Ethereum as a strategic treasury asset. While Bitcoin remains the dominant reserve cryptocurrency for most corporations, Ethereum's expanding role in decentralized finance, tokenization, and staking has attracted institutional attention.
In addition to its crypto reserves, Bitmine continued returning capital to shareholders through an aggressive stock repurchase program, buying back 6.1 million common shares over the past week.
