BitMine Bolsters Ethereum Holdings Amid Price Surge
BitMine Immersion Technologies, a Nevada-based enterprise, made significant additions to its Ethereum reserves by acquiring nearly 10,000 tokens last week. This acquisition brought the company's total holdings to approximately 5.787 million ETH, representing around 4.8% of the circulating supply.
The purchase was part of a larger strategy that includes repurchasing shares and expanding its stake in the Ethereum network. BitMine has now completed $11.6 million in share buybacks for July, with the cumulative total reaching 17.1 million shares under a $4 billion authorization.
Chairman Thomas Lee highlighted that the ETH/BTC ratio reached a 3-month peak at 0.300, indicating accumulating bullish momentum. Ethereum's price has climbed to a 10-week summit and currently trades near $1,950, with critical breakout levels set at $2,000 and $2,500.
The acquisition also underscores the growing interest in Ethereum among institutional investors, as US spot Ethereum ETFs recorded their third consecutive week of positive flows, capturing $103.9 million in net inflows last week.
