Bitmine Boosts Ethereum Holdings with Latest Token Purchase
Bitmine, a company led by Chairman Tom Lee, has continued its Ethereum buying streak. The company acquired another 9,926 ETH tokens last week, bringing its total to 5.82 million coins, or 4.8% of the network's supply.
The purchase valued Bitmine's Ether stack at $1,893 per token, with a total worth of roughly $11 billion in Ether alone. This brings the company's crypto holdings, cash, and strategic stakes to a combined value of $11.4 billion.
Lee tied the purchase to the rising ETH/BTC ratio, which he believes indicates early evidence of tokenization and AI-agent demand. Bitmine has added Ether every week since launching its strategy on June 30, 2025, a run that now stretches across 14 months.
