Bitmine Chairman Tom Lee Predicts Ethereum Tokenization Dominance
Tom Lee, chairman of Bitmine, has made a bold prediction that Ethereum tokenization dominance is now more likely than ever. He believes that both tokenized assets and artificial intelligence infrastructure will run on Ethereum rather than any rival chain.
Lee argues that Ethereum's general-purpose design positions it to dominate in multiple use cases at once. Unlike other blockchains, which are designed around a single niche, Ethereum can support tokenized real estate, securities, AI model training, and data marketplaces all on the same infrastructure.
Bitmine has quietly become the largest corporate holder of ether on the planet, with 5,847,611 ETH worth approximately $14.7 billion. The company's total staked ETH now stands at 5,067,309 tokens, generating an annualized staking revenue projected at $330 million.
Lee also revisited a long-running debate in crypto circles: whether Ethereum could eventually surpass Bitcoin in total market capitalization. He called that scenario 'very plausible,' pointing to Ethereum's revenue-generating capacity and real-world utility as a contrast to Bitcoin's role as primarily a store of value.
