BitMine Digs Deeper into Ethereum with $48.89 Million Purchase

BitMine Immersion Technologies Inc (NASDAQ: BMNR) continues to aggressively accumulate Ethereum tokens, purchasing another 20,000 ETH valued at approximately $48.89 million from Kraken.

This purchase brings BitMine's total holdings to around 5.87 million ETH and pushes the company closer to its ambitious 5% ownership target of Ethereum's circulating supply.

BitMine's market strategist Tom Lee notes that staking rewards generate approximately $330 million annually in revenue, providing a stable financial cushion for the company.

Lee also pointed out that he expects the crypto environment to strengthen this year due to an 'AI downstream' story, as well as other fundamental tailwinds such as Wall Street tokenization and easing financial conditions.
