Bitmine Expands Ethereum Holdings by Over 9,000 Tokens
Bitmine Immersion Technologies has significantly expanded its Ethereum treasury by purchasing 9,946 ETH over the past week. This addition brings its total holdings to approximately 5.79 million ETH, representing around 4.8% of Ethereum's circulating supply.
The company's chairman, Thomas 'Tom' Lee, attributed the expansion to improving market conditions and stated that Bitmine has bought ETH every week since the inception of the ETH Treasury Strategy on June 30, 2025.
Bitmine also reported repurchasing 6.1 million shares during the past week, bringing total repurchases under its authorized $4 billion buyback program to 11.6 million shares since July 1.
The company's staked Ethereum could generate approximately $299 million in annualized staking rewards at scale, based on a reported 2.65% seven-day staking yield.
