BitMine Expands Ethereum Treasury, Coinbase Chooses Chainlink for Tokenized Stocks
Two major developments in the crypto market have caught investors' attention, highlighting institutional adoption and blockchain utility. BitMine has expanded its Ethereum treasury to nearly 5.85 million ETH, putting it approximately 97% of the way toward its goal of holding 5% of Ethereum's supply.
The company has also reported staking 5,067,309 ETH, with projected annualized staking revenue of approximately $330 million. This gives BitMine both direct exposure to Ethereum's price and potential income from staking its substantial position.
Meanwhile, Coinbase has selected Chainlink as the official oracle infrastructure for its tokenized stocks on Base, strengthening the connection between traditional assets and decentralized finance. The initial tokenized equities include NVIDIA, Meta, Apple, and Alphabet, with Chainlink providing the pricing data needed for these assets to interact with blockchain-based applications.
The developments have sparked interest in earlier-stage projects that can offer greater theoretical upside but also carry higher risk. Apeing is currently in its whitelist phase ahead of its planned September presale, with a projected $0.01 listing price and limited whitelist availability.
