Bitmine Extends Ethereum Accumulation Streak to 14 Months
Bitmine, an entity associated with Tom Lee, has maintained its strategy of accumulating Ethereum (ETH) since June 30, 2025. The company purchased 32,447 ETH last week, increasing its total holdings to 5,847,611 ETH, which accounts for approximately 4.8% of the circulating supply.
The latest disclosure shows that Bitmine has been buying ETH every week for about 14 months. The company's goal is to own 5% of Ethereum's ETH supply, and it claims to be 97% toward achieving this target with its current holdings.
In addition to accumulation, Bitmine also engages in staking, with approximately 87% of its ETH (5.07 million) being tied to staking. The staked ETH represents a significant portion of the company's treasury and can affect how risk is expressed for investors.
The recent rebound in Ether prices has narrowed the unrealized losses on Bitmine's treasury, with the paper losses reportedly dropping below $5 billion from more than $8.4 billion a week earlier, according to DropsTab data cited in the report.
