BitMine Immersion Stock Poised for Strong Comeback as Ethereum Buying Spree Nears Completion
BitMine Immersion (NYSE:BMNR) has been holding steady at $25 since August 24, representing a 96% increase from its lowest level this year. This consolidation could signal a strong comeback for the stock as the company nears the end of its Ethereum buying spree.
The company, led by Tom Lee's firm, is nearing a major milestone in its Ethereum purchases. It currently owns 5,929,198 coins, which account for 4.85% of the total Ethereum supply. To reach its target of owning 5% of the Ethereum supply, BitMine needs to buy just 70,802 additional coins valued at $177 million.
Fortunately, with over $593 million in cash and marketable securities, BitMine will not require a share sale to fund its remaining purchases. This means that shareholders can expect the company's outstanding shares to stabilize after increasing from 234 million in July last year to over 579 million today.
The company's focus on Ethereum staking is also expected to generate significant revenue. With a staking reward rate of 2.7%, BitMine's 6 million tokens will start producing at least 162,000 additional coins per year, valued at $405 million at the current price.
