BitMine Inches Closer to 5% Ethereum Ownership Target

BitMine Immersion Technologies has continued its aggressive expansion of its Ethereum (ETH) treasury. In the latest weekly update, it added another 53,501 ETH to its holdings, bringing the total to 5.90 million ETH.

This represents approximately 4.9% of Ethereum's supply, and BitMine still needs around 133,900 more ETH to reach its long-standing target of owning 5%. According to the company, it has already reached 98% of this goal and has been purchasing ETH during each of the 65 weeks since launching its treasury strategy in June 2025.

The remaining gap is equivalent to around two and a half weeks of purchases at the current rate. However, BitMine has not provided a specific date for reaching the target, and future acquisitions may vary.
