Bitmine Leveraged ETFs Swing Wild Amid Ethereum Treasury Updates
Bitmine's leveraged ETFs, BMNU and MBNG, swung wildly this week as shares of Bitmine Immersion Technologies (BMNR) fluctuated. The funds dropped between 7% to 8% on Wednesday following a sharp selloff in the underlying stock.
Despite the setback, both ETFs remain up around 12% for the week so far, highlighting the amplified returns that come with leveraged investing in volatile stocks like Bitmine.
The rally in BMNR shares earlier this week was sparked by updates from the Ethereum treasury company, including $11.8 billion in total holdings across crypto assets and strategic investments. The company also revealed it had repurchased 11.6 million shares under its $4 billion buyback program.
BMNU and MBNG are designed to deliver 2x the daily performance of Bitmine shares, making them attractive to short-term traders looking to capitalize on sharp moves in the stock.
