BitMine Makes Record-Breaking Ethereum Purchase Worth Over $131 Million
BitMine has made its largest weekly Ethereum purchase since June, adding over 53,000 ETH to its stash. The company acquired 53,501 ETH last week, worth around $131.27 million at Ethereum's current price of $2,450.
This latest purchase brings BitMine's total holdings to nearly 5.9 million ETH, which is about 4.9% of Ethereum's total supply. The company is now just 2% shy of its target of owning 5% of Ethereum's supply.
BitMine has been steadily increasing its Ethereum purchases over the past few months and has now bought ETH for 65 consecutive weeks since starting its Ethereum treasury strategy on June 30, 2025. The company has also staked around 5.07 million ETH, which amounts to roughly $12.7 billion at current prices.
BitMine estimates that its annualized staking revenue from this amount is around $335 million. Its total crypto holdings now stand at $15.6 billion, with a small portion being invested in other assets such as Beast Industries and Eightco (ORBS).
