Bitmine Reaches $11.3 Billion in Crypto Holdings, Stakes 4.9 Million ETH
Bitmine Immersion Technologies (BMNR) has made significant strides in its digital asset accumulation strategy. The company announced that it now holds 5.8 million ETH tokens, representing 4.8% of the total ETH coin supply of 120.7 million. This brings Bitmine's total crypto and cash holdings to $11.3 billion.
According to Thomas 'Tom' Lee, Chairman of Bitmine, this milestone is a testament to the company's commitment to its Ethereum Treasury strategy. Lee stated that since Bitmine pivoted to an Ethereum Treasury strategy on June 30 last year, sizable outperformance of ETH vs QQQ has typically been followed by Bitmine's shares outperforming ETH over the following month.
Bitmine has repurchased 16.1 million common shares under its $4 billion share repurchase program since July 1, with 4.5 million shares bought back in the past week alone. The company also staked 4.917 million ETH on MAVAN (Made in America VAlidator Network), generating a 7-day yield of 2.67%.
Bitmine's crypto holdings reign as the #1 Ethereum treasury and #2 global treasury, with its own staking operations projected to generate $247 million in annualized revenues. The company remains supported by a premier group of institutional investors, including ARK's Cathie Wood, Founders Fund, Bill Miller III, Pantera, Kraken, DCG, Galaxy Digital, and personal investor Thomas 'Tom' Lee.
