Bitmine Stock Surges Amid Ethereum Holdings Update
Bitmine Immersion Technologies' stock surged on Monday after the company provided an update on its holdings. One of Bitmine's key strengths is its consistency, particularly in buying Ethereum (CRYPTO: ETH) every week since initiating its ETH treasury strategy on June 30, 2025, as stated by Chairman Tom Lee.
As of July 26, Bitmine held 5,787,414 coins of Ethereum, with the digital asset trading at approximately $1,948 per coin. This gives Bitmine's stake a value of around $11.3 billion. Notably, the investment manager is already 96% of the way to achieving its goal of controlling 5% of the total supply of Ethereum within 13 months.
Bitmine currently owns 4.8% of the total circulating supply of 120.7 million ETH. The company has also ramped up its repurchases, buying 6.1 million shares over the past week as part of its $4 billion stock buyback program. Bitmine's Chairman Tom Lee emphasized the company's commitment to purchasing Ethereum every week.
Bitmine's staking network, MAVAN, is another key advantage, allowing Ethereum holders to earn rewards by staking their coins. The company expects to generate annualized staking revenue of $254 million and potentially increase it to $299 million once its ETH is fully staked.
