BitMine Surges 90% as Ethereum Price Boosts Staking Revenues

BitMine stock has been on a tear lately, jumping 90% from its lowest level this year to $24.15 as Ethereum's price surged to its highest in months.

One reason for this surge is that BitMine's era of cash burn is coming to an end, with the company now holding over 5.8 million ETH tokens and needing to buy less than 150k coins. This will allow it to transition from a highly dilutive name into a free cash flow machine.

With its goal of buying 6 million coins, BitMine's staking operations are expected to generate significant revenue. Assuming the same performance as Sharplink, the second-biggest ETH holder in the industry, BitMine's staking revenue would be over $74 million, with annual revenue reaching $296 million at current prices.

The company's lean operation means that most of its revenues will go to shareholder distributions.
