Bitmine Surpasses $15 Billion in Assets Amid Ethereum Holdings Boom
Bitmine Immersion Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: BMNR) recently announced that its total assets have surpassed $15.6 billion, with a significant portion of that coming from its holdings in Ether (ETH). The company owns approximately 4.9% of the total ETH coin supply, which is valued at around $12.7 billion based on current prices.
Bitmine's Chairman, Thomas 'Tom' Lee, stated that 'ETH is the cure for the Uncanny Valley of Wealth.' He believes that Ether has outperformed other macro assets this quarter, with a 5,430bp lead over the S&P 500. The company has been actively acquiring ETH, purchasing an additional 53,501 coins in the past week alone.
Bitmine's institutional-grade staking platform, MAVAN, is also generating significant revenue for the company. As of August 30th, the company had staked over $12.7 billion worth of Ether on the platform, earning a projected annualized staking reward of $390 million.
