Bitmine Surpasses $15 Billion in Crypto Holdings, Eyes 5% of Ethereum Supply
Bitmine Immersion Technologies (BMNR) has announced that its Ethereum holdings have reached 5.90 million tokens, making up 4.9% of the total ETH supply of 120.7 million.
The company's crypto and cash holdings now total $15.6 billion, with a significant portion of this being in staked Ethereum. As of August 30, 2026, Bitmine has staked 5,067,309 ETH on its own institutional-grade staking platform, MAVAN, earning an annualized yield of $390 million.
Bitmine's Chairman, Thomas 'Tom' Lee, expressed confidence in the company's strategy, stating that 'ETH is the cure for the Uncanny Valley of Wealth.' He also pointed to the upcoming CLARITY Act vote and increased interest from Korean investors as positive catalysts for institutional participation in crypto.
Bitmine has become one of the most widely traded stocks in the US, with an average daily dollar volume of $1.36 billion over the past five days. The company's CEO believes that the GENIUS Act and Project Crypto are as transformative to financial services as the 1971 event that ended the Bretton Woods system.
