BitMine Surpasses $15.8 Billion in Assets, Closes In on 5% Ethereum Target

BitMine, an institutional investor in digital assets, has significantly increased its Ethereum holdings. The company added 27,180 ETH to its portfolio over the past week, bringing its total Ethereum position to approximately 5.96 million ETH as of September 13th.

This acquisition represents about 4.9% of Ethereum's overall supply, with BitMine being just 2% away from achieving its goal of owning 5% of all ETH in circulation.

The company's strategy combines direct accumulation with staking, where a significant portion of its holdings is actively deployed within the network. Currently, around 85% of BitMine's Ethereum position, approximately 5.07 million ETH, has been staked.
