BitMine Surpasses 5M ETH Milestone with Record $241M Purchase
BitMine, backed by Tom Lee, has surpassed a major milestone in its Ethereum holdings. As of last week, the company's total ETH position stands at 5,078,386 units.
The acquisition was made at an average price of $2,369 per Ethereum, with a total spend of approximately $241.4 million. This purchase is also BitMine's largest weekly acquisition since December 2025 and its biggest single-week buy this year in 2026.
BitMine's Chairman, Tom Lee, stated that the company is moving towards acquiring 5% of the Ethereum supply. He added that this pace of accumulation is astonishing, taking only 10 months to reach 5 million ETH.
