Bitmine's Hidden Gem: How This Corporate Giant Could Soar in 2026
The cryptocurrency market has shown signs of recovery in recent weeks, with top cryptocurrencies like Ether (ETH) and Bitcoin (BTC) experiencing a bounce back. One area to watch is Bitmine (BMNR), which has positioned itself as a major holder of Ether tokens.
Bitmine holds around 5.85 million Ether tokens, worth approximately $14.6 billion, making it the second-largest crypto treasury company after Strategy (MSTR). This position exceeds its enterprise value of $13.8 billion and is currently trading at a discount to its net asset value (NAV).
The Alchemy of 5% strategy, introduced by new chairman Tom Lee in June, calls for Bitmine to accumulate 5% of Ether's entire circulating supply. By staking its Ether holdings, Bitmine earns an average annualized yield of 2.7%, partly offsetting the pressure from continually issuing additional shares.
As more decentralized apps are launched and real-world assets (RWAs) are tokenized on the Ethereum blockchain, Ether's value is expected to rise. Institutional investors may also take notice, driving up demand for Ether and potentially sending Bitmine's stock price higher.
