The BitPay Debit Card was a prepaid card that allowed users to spend cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin and Ethereum like cash. However, on May 17, 2023, BitPay emailed its customers that the program would be ending due to Metropolitan Commercial Bank's exit from crypto banking.

The last day to add funds was June 1, 2023, and the last day to spend or withdraw at an ATM was June 15, 2023. Remaining balances were mailed back to holders by check around June 30, 2023.

BitPay had directed customers to a waitlist for a future replacement card, but three years later, no such card has been launched. There is currently no way to obtain or use a BitPay Card.
