BitRobot Crowdsources AI Data with Solana Blockchain
BitRobot is leveraging Solana's blockchain technology to crowdsource AI data for robotics research. The project has open-sourced 2,000 hours of urban navigation data, which dwarfs previous public datasets of just 60 hours.
The data was collected through a network of task-specific subnets and a wearable device called the RoboCap, equipped with six cameras that capture first-person video and hand movements. Contributors earn rewards based on the novelty and utility of their data, determined by a scoring system.
Solana plays a critical role in this ecosystem, facilitating transparent accounting of contributions and efficient payment processing. BitRobot's integration with Solana also includes Access ID credentials, which allow contributors to build robotics-related reputations and earn 'Bolts' for their work.
