Bitroot Set to Debut High-Performance Layer-1 Network at Bitcoin Asia 2026
Bitroot is showcasing its high-performance Layer-1 network at Bitcoin Asia 2026 in Hong Kong, where it's nearing mainnet launch. The project completed a core re-architecture in May, migrating its engine from Go to Rust and introducing parallel Merkle verification, a lock-free mempool, and a five-stage execution pipeline. This upgrade has lifted throughput to 100,000+ TPS with 0.3-second finality.
The network's public testnet has surpassed 300,000 addresses, with a native DEX, bridge, explorer, and faucet all live. Bitroot has also activated Node Staking and Liquid Staking (LSD), with total staked BRT passing 100 million through its Task Platform 2.0.
According to Jerry Jiang, Chief Strategy Officer at Bitroot, 'AI and machine-economy applications will generate transaction volumes today's chains simply can't absorb.' He adds that the project was rebuilt from the core to meet this reality, enabling it to demonstrate its capabilities as base-layer infrastructure for the emerging machine economy.
