Bittensor Price Surges as Raydium, Buttensor Drive TAO Demand
The price of Bittensor (TAO) surged on Monday to $264.83, representing an 8.33% increase from its previous value.
This growth marked TAO's strongest price in three months and extended its advance across five sessions to nearly 25%. The asset's rise contrasted with unchanged market conditions and ranked among the top-performing coins of the day, alongside Chainlink and ICP.
The drivers behind TAO's rally include access to Raydium, trading on Buttensor, network upgrades, and increasing derivatives activity. Specifically, the introduction of TAO trading on Raydium connected the AI token with Solana's large decentralized finance community, while a parody coin called Buttensor was launched shortly afterward.
The unique mechanism of Buttensor converts transaction fees into automatic TAO purchases, which are later shared with participating BUTT holders. This design turns meme coin activity into buying pressure for Bittensor's token, although it relies heavily on continued speculation and retail attention.
