Bittensor TAO Token Surges as Scarcity Narrative Takes Hold
Bittensor's TAO token has seen a sharp price increase, jumping over 10% to around $255.36. This move comes after breaking a descending trendline and reclaiming the $218-$236 moving-average cluster.
The breakout is underpinned by Bittensor's monetary structure, which includes a 21 million supply cap, halvings that reduce base emissions, and the V440 emission gate that directs rewards toward productive subnets.
Barry Silbert has compared Bittensor to Bitcoin, noting that while both have scarcity narratives, their value propositions are different. Bitcoin's is as a decentralized monetary asset, whereas TAO sits at the center of Bittensor's decentralized AI network.
The immediate test for TAO is whether buyers can establish $250-$255 as support, with the next major upside levels being $270-$275 and eventually $300 if the breakout is sustained.
