Bitwise Brings Tokenized US Stocks to Eligible Investors via Coinbase
Bitwise Asset Management has launched a new service allowing eligible investors outside the United States to invest in tokenized US stocks from Coinbase, while retaining full control over their assets.
The portfolios, which use Coinbase's recently launched tokenized stocks, are designed by Bitwise and automatically rebalanced to match pre-set investment strategies. The initial lineup includes three strategies: Mag7X, Robotics & AI Leaders, and users can select the one that best fits their goals.
The tokenized listed stocks now total $2.49 billion, up 5.18% over the past month, with 2.25 million holders and $27.28 billion in monthly transfer volume. Unlike a traditional fund, the tokens remain in users' non-custodial wallets, with Bitwise setting the portfolio methodology and Glider handling trades and rebalancing.
Users can also use their tokens for lending or borrowing through DeFi applications, subject to the associated risks. Bitwise charges a 0.15% methodology access fee, excluding trading and Glider platform fees.
