Bitwise has announced that it will shut down its Dogecoin exchange-traded fund (ETF), BWOW, effective October 14. The decision comes as the company reviews its ETF lineup and investor demand.

The trading of BWOW on the NYSE Arca will cease after October 14, at which point Bitwise will begin the liquidation process. Shareholders can sell their shares until the final trading session on October 14. After that, Bitwise will wind down the ETF and stop creating new shares before October 15.

Shareholders who still hold BWOW after the trading halt will receive cash based on the fund's net asset value as of October 21. The payments are scheduled for October 22. Investors do not need to take any action during the liquidation process, according to Bitwise.
