Bitwise Explores Tokenized Fund Shares With Superstate Partnership

Bitwise Asset Management is exploring a new partnership with fintech firm Superstate to develop a framework for tokenizing its investment funds. The first potential candidate for tokenization is the Bitwise Solana Staking ETF (BSOL), which provides exposure to Solana while incorporating staking into its structure.

The proposed framework would allow investors to hold tokenized versions of certain fund shares, with ownership recorded on a blockchain through Superstate's transfer agency infrastructure. This would change how ownership is recorded, but not the rights attached to those shares.

Bitwise stresses that there is no guarantee the product will launch in tokenized form, and that investors should not interpret the announcement as confirmation of an upcoming release. The company manages more than $9 billion in client assets across over 70 investment products.
