Bitwise Partners with Superstate on Tokenized Share Recording for Select Funds
Bitwise Asset Management has partnered with fintech firm Superstate to develop tokenized share recording for select Bitwise funds. The partnership aims to test whether blockchain-based recordkeeping can coexist with traditional fund regulation.
The first fund in line is the Bitwise Solana Staking ETF (BSOL), which was launched in late 2025 and targets Solana's value while producing extra Solana via staking activities. Tokenized shares would carry the same economic and voting rights as traditional book-entry shares, with no separate security created.
The rollout depends entirely on meeting legal and regulatory requirements, and Bitwise has offered no launch timeline. Superstate's role is technical but central, as it runs platforms that support asset managers building compliant on-chain fund offerings.
