Bitwise Solana ETF Hits Billion-Dollar Mark Amid SOL Price Decline
The Bitwise Solana ETF has reached $1 billion in assets under management despite the decline in SOL price. The fund, which launched in October 2025, became the first individual U.S.-listed Solana fund to reach this milestone within ten months of its launch. On August 26, official data placed net assets at $1.0175 billion.
The Bitwise Solana ETF held 9.33 million SOL with a market value near $1.018 billion. Its net asset value was $14.95 per share, while the market price closed at $15.03. The fund reported that 96% of its assets were staked through its Helius-powered program.
The Solana staking ETF posted a 5.80% net reward rate over 90 days, measured from July to September. Staking rewards accrue in SOL and stay inside the portfolio, rather than creating separate cash distributions. Investors contributed $267.1 million in net subscriptions during the first half of 2026.
Goldman Sachs held $88.1 million across three U.S. Solana ETF products, making it the largest known institutional holder of spot Solana ETFs at June 30. The fund charges a 0.20% management fee and targets full deployment of eligible assets for staking.
