Bitwise Teams Up with Superstate to Tokenize Crypto Fund Shares
Bitwise Asset Management has partnered with Superstate to develop a blockchain-based system for tokenizing shares of select crypto funds. The partnership will allow investors to hold shares in traditional book-entry form or as tokenized tokens on a blockchain.
The Bitwise Solana Staking ETF (BSOL) is expected to be the first fund considered for tokenization, although its launch is not guaranteed. BSOL began trading on NYSE Arca in October 2025 and has accumulated about $861 million in assets by mid-May 2026.
Investors choosing the blockchain option will retain the same shareholder rights as investors whose holdings remain in conventional book-entry form. However, tokenized shares will not be freely transferable outside the blockchain-based system supporting them.
