Black Lake Debuts Harbor Verify, Tool for Verifying Tokenized Loan Eligibility
Black Lake Digital Markets has launched Harbor Verify, a tool that allows investors, lenders, auditors, and rating agencies to verify the eligibility of tokenized loans without seeing private borrower data.
The browser-based tool, which is available on demand, uses cryptographic proofs and onchain commitments to confirm that loans meet all agreed-upon eligibility criteria. This means that reviewers can check if a loan belongs in a specific pool and whether it satisfied its published eligibility rules without having access to confidential information.
Harbor Verify has been applied to a $25 million portfolio of residential mortgage loans, with the entire process using only hashes, yes or no results, and cryptographic proofs. Borrower names, credit scores, loan balances, addresses, and other private information are not disclosed to reviewers.
'There are lots of chain-based attestation frameworks out there, similar to traditional finance,' said Al Qureshi, CEO and co-founder of Black Lake Digital Markets. 'But institutional buyers need a test they can run themselves rather than another party's assurance.'
