BlackRock-Backed Bitcoin, Ethereum ETFs Attract $825M in Single Session
US spot Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs drew in a combined $825.8 million on August 20, according to Farside Investors data.
The session saw BlackRock's IBIT take in $503 million, leading the day's Bitcoin ETF demand, while ETHA led the session with $173.3 million for spot Ethereum ETF inflows of $219.5 million.
These numbers are significant because they show that regulated capital is moving into traditional market infrastructure through spot-backed listed products, which can support sentiment and suggest buyers are allocating capital rather than just chasing momentum or short-term gains.
The fact that Ethereum's ETF inflow was substantial, at $219.5 million, also indicates that institutional appetite for ETH is not limited to Bitcoin alone.
