BlackRock-Dominated Crypto ETFs Draw Record $492M Inflows for Fifth Consecutive Day

The latest figures from Farside Investors show that US spot Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs have recorded combined net inflows of $492 million for the August 21 session. This marks the fifth consecutive positive trading day for both groups, with spot Bitcoin ETFs adding $307 million and spot Ethereum ETFs bringing in another $185 million.

BlackRock's IBIT led the pack in Bitcoin ETFs, contributing $239.3 million to the net inflows, while BlackRock's ETHA topped the list in Ethereum products with $151 million. The dominance of BlackRock in both categories is notable, as scale often attracts more scale, providing deeper liquidity and stronger distribution.

The five-day streak of positive sessions suggests investors are consistently adding exposure rather than making one-off allocations. This can strengthen the market's foundation and provide a more durable institutional demand signal. However, it's essential to keep in mind that flow streaks can end quickly, and investors should not assume the next week will automatically look the same.
