BlackRock-Dominated Crypto ETFs See Record Inflows as Rally Gains Momentum
The recent rally in cryptocurrency markets has received a boost from institutional investors, as spot Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs recorded combined net inflows of $492 million on August 21. This marks the fifth consecutive positive trading day for both groups.
Farside Investors data shows that spot Bitcoin ETFs added $307 million to their assets under management, led by BlackRock's IBIT with a significant $239.3 million influx. Meanwhile, spot Ethereum ETFs brought in another $185 million, with BlackRock's ETHA leading the charge at $151 million.
While these numbers are impressive, it's essential to note that they represent daily and weekly net-flow figures rather than cumulative assets under management. The August 21 session marked a turning point for institutional investors, who have been increasingly drawn to crypto markets.
