BlackRock Dominates $853M Bitcoin ETF Inflow Streak
BlackRock's iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT) dominated the recent influx of capital into US spot Bitcoin ETFs, capturing 81% of the $853.5 million in net inflows over five trading days from August 3 to August 7.
The total net inflows were a significant reversal of the prior week's modest outflows of $61.5 million and pushed cumulative net inflows across all US spot Bitcoin ETFs to $52.18 billion since launch, with total net assets in the category climbing to $79.50 billion.
Bitcoin traded below $65,000 throughout the entire five-day inflow period, yet nearly $854 million in fresh capital entered the market through ETFs, failing to budge the price above that threshold.
The Ethereum side of the equation also saw significant momentum, with US spot Ethereum ETFs attracting $244.9 million in inflows during the same week, bringing combined Bitcoin and Ethereum ETF inflows close to $1.10 billion.
