BlackRock Dominates Crypto ETF Inflows with $900 Million
BlackRock's spot Bitcoin and Ethereum exchange-traded funds (ETFs) attracted nearly $900 million in just five trading sessions, a significant sign of increased institutional demand for digital assets despite ongoing market volatility.
Data for the week ending August 7 shows BlackRock's spot Bitcoin ETF, IBIT, recorded net inflows of $693.5 million, while its spot Ethereum ETF, ETHA, attracted an additional $203 million, bringing in a combined total of $896.5 million.
This influx represents a significant portion of the week's total net inflows for U.S. spot Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs, with BlackRock capturing roughly 80% of new capital entering Bitcoin ETFs and over 83% of all Ethereum ETF inflows.
