BlackRock Drives $626M in Institutional Bitcoin Buying Spree
Institutional investors have resumed buying Bitcoin at a pace not seen in weeks. According to SoSoValue data, US-listed spot Bitcoin ETFs took in $244.4 million on Wednesday, capping three straight inflow days worth a combined $626 million.
The run started on Monday and built through the week, with Tuesday's session bringing $211.5 million in net inflows. BlackRock's iShares Bitcoin Trust was responsible for $479 million of the three-day total, lifting its cumulative net inflows to almost $61 billion.
Regulatory developments may be contributing to this shift, as Franklin Templeton has argued that federal crypto rules could open bank liquidity to the asset class. This would be a significant structural change, potentially driving more institutional investment into Bitcoin.
