BlackRock Eases Entry for Large Bitcoin Holders with ETF Adjustment
BlackRock has reduced the minimum amount of Bitcoin required for in-kind contributions to its spot Bitcoin ETF, IBIT. This change allows investors to exchange their Bitcoin for ETF shares without selling their coins.
The move follows a regulatory update permitting in-kind transactions for crypto ETFs, which can enhance flexibility and potential tax benefits for investors.
With the price of Bitcoin near $63,600, this adjustment could encourage more holders to shift assets into regulated ETFs, potentially increasing inflows and revealing the scale of Bitcoin moving from personal custody to institutional products.
