BlackRock Enters Stablecoin Market with Two New Tokenized Funds
BlackRock has taken another step into the stablecoin market with two new tokenized funds. BRSRV and BSTBL are designed to hold permitted reserve assets, such as cash, Treasury securities, and overnight repos, behind regulated dollar stablecoins.
The move is part of BlackRock's strategy to become the stablecoin reserve manager of choice, following its existing partnership with Circle to manage $60 billion in reserves. The funds will be listed on multiple public blockchains, but the source does not specify which ones.
State Street and Fidelity have also launched similar products, highlighting the growing demand for compliant reserve funds among stablecoin issuers.
