BlackRock ETH Fund Secures $254M in Assets Under Management in Debut Week
BlackRock's iShares Staked Ethereum Trust has attracted $254 million in assets under management within its first week of trading on Nasdaq. The fund, listed as ETHB, launched on March 12 with seed capital exceeding $100 million from BlackRock Financial Management.
Investors added a further $146 million to the fund in the days following launch, bringing the total amount to $254 million. The fund stakes between 70% and 95% of its Ethereum holdings, passing 82% of the resulting staking rewards to investors via monthly payments.
The remaining 18% is shared among the trust, custodians, and staking service providers. ETHB's validators include Figment, Galaxy Blockchain Infrastructure, and Attestant, with a sponsor fee of 0.25%, reduced to 0.12% for the first year on up to $2.5 billion in assets.
This move reflects continued institutional interest in yield-bearing crypto products, with ETHB's rapid asset accumulation placing it among the most notable ETF launches in the digital asset space to date.
