BlackRock Files SEC Filing for Tokenized Fund Shares on Solana
BlackRock has filed with the SEC to issue tokenized fund shares on Solana, marking one of the clearest signals yet that the world's largest asset manager is moving deeper into blockchain-based finance.
The filing centers on a new product called the BlackRock Daily Reinvestment Stablecoin Reserve Vehicle (BRSRV), an expansion of BlackRock's existing cash management strategy. BRSRV is designed to qualify as a GENIUS Act asset, positioning it specifically to serve as reserve backing for regulated stablecoins under the new legislation.
The fund's tokenization is being handled by Securitize, according to reports, the same firm BlackRock has worked with on prior tokenization efforts. BRSRV is structured as a multi-chain product, meaning it isn't limited to Solana alone.
