BlackRock Sees Signs of Rebound in Bitcoin Sentiment Amidst ETF Inflows
BlackRock's latest move is signaling a shift in Bitcoin sentiment as the asset manager reports a significant surge in inflows for its BTC Exchange-Traded Funds (ETFs). According to BlackRock, investor confidence in Bitcoin is growing, with ETF inflows reaching $853.5 million last week, marking the largest weekly inflow since mid-April.
This trend suggests that investors are becoming more optimistic about Bitcoin's potential as a portfolio diversifier despite its current downturn. In July, Bitcoin outperformed significantly when AI stocks experienced a pullback, indicating a healthy shift in sentiment, according to Robert Mitchnick, Head of Digital Assets at BlackRock.
BlackRock is also making it easier for institutions to convert their Bitcoin into its IBIT ETF by lowering the minimum conversion threshold from $25 million to $1 million. This move aims to improve the ETF's liquidity and keep its share price closely aligned with the Bitcoin price.
