BlackRock Sticks to 1-2% Bitcoin Allocation Amid Economic Concerns
BlackRock's recent report has reasserted its stance on Bitcoin as a suitable portfolio diversifier. The investment firm recommends allocating between 1% to 2% of a traditional 60/40 investment strategy (60% stocks, 40% bonds) to Bitcoin.
In the wake of economic concerns such as rising inflation and national debt, investors have returned to Bitcoin, driving its price up by over 22% in two weeks. BlackRock's report points out that Bitcoin's volatility has decreased in recent years due to increased institutional adoption and the growing popularity of Bitcoin ETFs.
The firm suggests that a small allocation to Bitcoin can provide significant upside potential without significantly increasing overall portfolio risk. This aligns with its previous recommendations on diversifying portfolios with Bitcoin, particularly in times of economic uncertainty.
