BlackRock Swoops Up $900M in Crypto ETF Inflows
BlackRock's spot Bitcoin ETF, IBIT, and Ethereum ETF, ETHA, attracted nearly $900 million in new capital over five trading sessions.
The data for the week ending August 7 shows that IBIT recorded net inflows of $693.5 million, while ETHA brought in an additional $203 million.
This represents a combined total of $896.5 million and cements BlackRock's position as the dominant player in the U.S. spot crypto ETF market.
The strong performance of IBIT was particularly notable, with $111.4 million flowing into the fund on August 3, followed by $170.3 million on August 4, $196.8 million on August 5, and another $128.3 million on August 6 before finishing with $86.7 million on August 7.
In fact, IBIT captured roughly 80% of all new capital entering Bitcoin ETFs during the week, while ETHA accounted for over 83% of all Ethereum ETF inflows.
