BlackRock's $1B Bitcoin Influx Outpaces Grayscale's Bleeding $255M
BlackRock's iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT) has accumulated $1.08 billion in net inflows over the past 20 days, according to on-chain data from Arkham Intelligence.
This influx of capital pushed IBIT's total holdings to approximately 785,000 BTC, with assets under management now exceeding $60 billion.
During the same period, Grayscale's Bitcoin Trust (GBTC) shed approximately $254.7 million in outflows, leaving it with roughly 130,000 BTC and an AUM hovering near $10 billion.
The fee differential between IBIT and GBTC is a significant factor in this trend: IBIT charges 0.25% annually, while GBTC charges 1.5%. On a $10 million position, that's the difference between paying $25,000 and $150,000 per year for essentially the same exposure to the same asset.
